Job description
Creative Maintenance & Planting Team Member.
We are an award-winning specialist plant nursery near Pulborough in West Sussex with a reputation for designing and planting exceptional gardens. With a collection of Japanese and European topiary, exotic and tropical specimens, screening plants and rarities, our mission is to exceed our clients’ expectations with exciting, bold and innovative work. The highest standard of service is guaranteed by our dedicated and plant obsessed team.
We are looking for a talented and hard-working individual to join our specialist Creative Maintenance and Planting Team. You will join our experts installing breath-taking planting designs alongside clipping, shaping, and maintaining some of the world’s most exciting plants in our customers gardens. You will leave every garden refined and clipped to perfection producing beautifully sculpted topiary, well-groomed structural exotics, and specialist Japanese Niwaki cloud-pruned forms. You will need to be extremely fit, calm under pressure, and willing to work in all weathers. You will also be required to work with incredible efficiency, skill and competence to help deliver incredible gardens for our clients. A keen eye for detail is a must.

We are looking for a passionate plantsperson who:
- Is physically fit, with an extremely strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn on the job.
- Has at least 2+ years’ experience clipping and pruning topiary in high-end gardens and skilled with both manual and powered clipping tools.
- Has unrivalled levels of professionalism at all times, in both conduct and customer service. Is honest, open and has a team-player mentality.
- Is flexible, able to move between the clipping and planting teams when required, approaching all aspects of your work with grit, stamina, and an unrelenting passion to provide a great service to our clients.
- Has demonstrable experience working outside in a practical and physical role.
