Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to join Brantwood Garden School as an Assistant Outdoor Learning Manager.
We require a committed assistant for the current Deputy Principal of the Outdoor Provision to help further develop and manage our established farm school based in Eyam, Derbyshire.
This is a significant role, suited to a person with experience of working with young people with complex needs.
In addition, it is essential that the right candidate has some experience of working with animals and ideally has teaching and horticultural experience.
This is a working farm with a focus on using Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE) to engage our students. We work on the land to inspire our students through seasonal activities using natural resources and the ‘seed to table’ approach.
Helping to design, resource and teach such activities would be a key part of the role.
The successful candidate must be able to see the learning opportunities in the landscape and therefore contribute to the future development of the farm.
