Job description

Join a place where food, learning, and community come together. Newquay Orchard is looking for an inspirational Teaching Chef to lead our training kitchen — a space where creativity, sustainability, and people thrive. You’ll be part of a team of amazing human beings who believe in the power of food to connect, nurture, and transform lives.

Hours: Full-time

What You’ll Do

  • Design and deliver engaging learning programmes in our training kitchen.
  • Inspire students to explore food, nutrition, and sustainability through hands-on experiences.
  • Work with fresh, local produce grown right here in our market garden — food steps, not food miles!
  • Mentor learners of all ages and backgrounds, helping them build lifelong cooking and wellbeing skills.
  • Collaborate with our dedicated staff and volunteers to create a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Who You Are

  • A skilled chef with a love for teaching and community.
  • Creative, patient, and enthusiastic about sustainable food and local ingredients.
  • Someone who believes that good food can change lives — and wants to share that passion every day.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • 33 days of annual leave (including bank holidays).
  • A wellbeing-focused workplace with a cash-back health plan and employee support.
  • Opportunities to grow your career in hospitality and education.
  • The chance to make a real difference — every meal, every lesson, every smile.
