Job description

Hours: Full-time, five days per week

Location: North-Mid Dorset/South Somerset (see more about location and how we work in the full job description)

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract with a view to renew

Application deadline: midnight Sunday, 26 July 2026

First-stage conversations: Likely to take place on Tuesday, 4 August 2026

Interviews: Likely to take place on Tuesday, 11 August 2026

Start date: Ideally early September.

Are you excited by the idea of building relationships, asking bigger questions and making complex ideas accessible?

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of communications, storytelling, community practice, systems thinking and narrative change. You'll create engaging content, tell stories from communities across rural Somerset and Dorset, and help shape the narratives that inspire participation, strengthen community agency and support social and ecological transformation.
