Job description
As a Social Media Officer you will be joining a dynamic and collaborative team for an intital period of 6 months. We are actively seeking a motivated, positive, and upbeat individual who feels passionate about creating an engaging and informative online experience. You will have the highest level of creative awareness and data analytics, while being able to stay current with the latest news and cultural trends to ensure content relevance.

This role is fully in-person and we do not offer hybrid/remote work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social media Management
Have 1 to 2 years of experience managing a range of social media platforms, particularly in relation to marketing, fundraising and campaigning.
Have innovative thinking across all aspects of the role
Have strong copywriting and editing skills suitable for each platform, from knowing how to write a successful Instagram post to using effective storytelling techniques
Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels - e.g., LinkedIn and Instagram, Tic Toc, You tube, Facebook, adapting content to suit different channels
Be self-motivated, who excels in an entrepreneurial-type environment
Develop compelling social media strategies that leads to informed and relatable discussion with customers
Manage the day-to-day activities including selecting the right posts to drive active engagement
Monitor, track, analyse, and report on performance on social media platforms
Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity
2. Design
Create impactful campaigns and multimedia content, promoting assets such as Daily brief, infographics, and videos
Assist with drafting communications, presentations, flyers, website content and documents.
Collaborate and contribute new ideas to develop organisation online presence
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Person Specification
Essential
Strong organisational skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Confident with Microsoft 365, Canva and other editing programmes
Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
Positive, flexible attitude and ability to work in a small but busy team.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Desirable
Experience working in a charity or third-sector organisation.
Interest in community development, food justice, or social impact.
