Job description
The job involves assisting in the process of seed production from sowing to harvest including ground preparation, building tunnels and cloches, irrigation, weeding, sowing, planting, watering, harvesting and processing seed. The work is small scale and largely by hand.
This aspect of the post will take up much of Spring to Autumn. The winter role will be packing seeds and sending out orders.
We are looking for someone with some growing experience and a particular interest in organic seed production as well as being able to learn and follow the procedures for order dispatch. Own transport is essential as we are not very accessible by public transport.
Skills
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hour week, start and finish times to be arranged.
