Job description

We're looking for an experienced and inspiring Education Manager to lead and develop our education and skills provision, helping people of all ages build confidence, learn practical skills and take positive steps towards employment, further learning, volunteering and improved wellbeing.

From horticulture and outdoor learning to wellbeing, employability and life skills, our programmes help people connect with themselves, each other and the natural world. 

As Education Manager, you will provide leadership for our Education team and oversee a diverse range of accredited and non-accredited learning programmes. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our provision, ensuring it remains inclusive, high quality, financially sustainable and responsive to community need. 

A particularly important part of the role will be leading and developing provision for young people and adults with SEND and SEMH needs, including our Growing Futures programme. We are looking for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and understands how person-centred, trauma-informed approaches can help learners overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Lead and develop high-quality education and skills programmes.
• Inspire, support and develop a multidisciplinary education team.
• Champion inclusive practice and learner-centred approaches.
• Develop partnerships with schools, employers, commissioners, local authorities and community organisations.
• Use evidence and insight to improve learner outcomes and demonstrate impact.
• Identify new opportunities for growth, funding and innovation.
• Contribute as a member of Newquay Orchard's Senior Management Team. 

You'll bring:

• Experience of managing education programmes.
• Experienced and passionate about horticulture and nature
• Experience of leading and developing teams in the education sector.
• Knowledge of quality assurance, safeguarding and inclusive practice.
• Experience of supporting learners with SEND, SEMH or other barriers to learning.
• A recognised teaching qualification, ideally in horticulture, and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Strong communication, partnership-building and organisational skills
