Job description

We’re hiring! We’re looking for a new Assistant Baker at Courie Courie Bakery – if you are skilled in sourdough bread production, keen on a traditional bakery job where your artisan bread skills can shine, and you are interested in working with us to make our speciality award winning bread range, we would love to hear from you.

Hours: 25.5 hours weekly

Wednesday - Friday 07:00am - 3.30pm

Salary expectations – Living Wage

The Assistant Baker will be responsible for all aspects of the preparation and production of baked goods - sourdough bread, pastries, buns and tray bakes, in our bakery production unit in Aboyne. You will work to a high standard, maintain a clean and organized working environment, and collaborate with the existing bakery team to maintain high quality products and sustain an excellent standard of customer service to our direct sales and wholesale customers.

We operate a six-day production system, the role will cover three shifts a week, and as you will be aware bakery work involves early starts. We are a small independent company, you will be self motivated, fit enough to cope with a manual job, and able to work at the pace of a busy production unit to support our aims of quality, consistency, a high standard of production and food hygiene, and reliability for our local community.
