About the Farm Carbon Toolkit

The Farm Carbon Toolkit (FCT) is a leading, independent farmer-led enterprise. Our mission is to provide world-leading practical and impact-led solutions to farmers, growers, land managers and their customers, to support the transition to climate-positive and resilient food production systems. The Opportunity

As interest in our Farm Carbon Calculator and other software products continue to grow, we are seeking a Science Officer who will help us to achieve our ambition to provide the most trusted, robust and highly-regarded product range. This is an exciting role within a fast-growing and friendly team. Your work will contribute to supporting farms across the UK (and beyond) to understand their carbon, nutrient, biodiversity footprint and take real, practical steps in the transition towards a fair, just and nature-friendly decarbonisation.

We are a dedicated team of advisors and experts, passionate about farming and how we can best support farmers to understand and act on their carbon footprint. Working within our Calculator development team, you will support our software developers and ongoing research into methodologies of calculating GHG emissions in agriculture to help grow our software services.  The full job pack for this position can be found on our website here.

As a small, remote-working organisation, we recognise the challenges, as well as the flexibility this can bring. We come together as a full team, in person, at least three times per year to reflect and discuss our work and plan for the future.
