About us
The Sustainable Food Trust (SFT) is a forward-thinking non-profit organisation dedicated to accelerating the transition to sustainable food and farming systems. Inspired by our philosophy of the interconnectedness of the health of soil, plants, animals and humans, our vision is for future food and farming systems that operate in harmony with nature, producing food that nourishes both people and planet.
Our work is based upon three key pillars: farming policy and practice; measuring and valuing sustainability; and public awareness raising.
The Sustainable Food Trust is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We believe that a range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives strengthens our work and helps us better understand and engage with the communities we serve.

About Sustainable Food Trust
The Sustainable Food Trust (SFT) works to accelerate the transition to more sustainable food and farming systems. Our key work areas include developing a common harmonised framework for measuring on-farm sustainability; supporting and advocating for the protection of small, local abattoirs; creating a network of 'Beacon' farmers to facilitate educational on-farm visits, prioritising school children in order to enable them to have seeing-is-believing experiences early on in their lives; and more.
