Job description

We are a South London-based charity that uses food to bring joy and connection to the socially excluded, develop skills in young people, build communities and grow future generations. Since 2013, we have brought food to people each year across South London. Our projects are full of joy and life. People eat, make friends, teach each other new skills and communities are connected.

What will you be doing?

This is an exciting time to join us as a Trustee. As we develop our next three-year strategy we are looking for committed individuals to provide strategic insight and help shape the future of our organisation.

As a Trustee, you will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, offering both support and constructive challenge. Our board is a collaborative space where diverse professional and lived experiences are valued, and where different perspectives help drive meaningful impact.

We are currently operating in a challenging funding climate, with rising community need. Our Trustees play a vital role in ensuring Be Enriched remains sustainable, resilient, and focused on delivering the greatest possible benefit to the communities we serve.

Trustees are expected to attend quarterly meetings and provide assistance on an ad-hoc basis. Trustees will promote Be Enriched within their networks, including our campaign fundraisers and volunteering opportunities. Trustees with specialised skills may be asked to lead on certain tasks such as HR, legal, financial etc. 

What are we looking for?

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences to apply. You do not need to have been a trustee before.

We would like to speak with applicants who have particular experience in:

• Human Resources (HR) 
• Food Insecurity 
• Public Health 
• Charity Governance

New trustees will help Be Enriched remain sustainable, resilient, and focused on its mission - providing food, connection, and dignity to communities across South London - while helping to shape its strategic future.
