With them and the communities they represent, we have transformed over 20,000 square metres of public space for the benefit of people and urban wildlife.

Urban Growth is developing rapidly so needs experienced Landscape or Garden Designers who want to make a healthier and greener city.

  • Create high-quality and professional proposals for clients
  • Provide clear, achievable and accurate budgets for projects
  • Produce construction drawings, schedules and specification for builds and designs
  • Produce imaginative and holistic plant designs that benefit both the planet and people.
  • Source materials, place and manage orders and suppliers
  • Carry out site visits and client meetings as required
  • Build strong relationships with clients and prospective clients

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a Diploma/Degree in Landscape Architecture or Garden Design with at least 2 years of relevant working experience
  • Be self-motivated and proactive, with excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage project information sharing remotely.
  • Excellent working knowledge of SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite is vital for this position
  • Have a good plant knowledge and a love of plants
  • Be very organised, able to structure their own workload and manage their time effectively especially while working remotely
  • Enjoy working in a fast moving, dynamic and professional atmosphere.

Desirable skills are:

  • Good knowledge of permaculture design and principles
  • An interest in ecological landscape design
  • Design for wellbeing in mind

Remuneration is on a project-by-project basis and will be agreed at the outset, but it is expected to range from £15 - 20 per hour or £150 - 200 per day depending on experience.

Our ambition is to work together to promote a more inclusive environment, which attracts all candidates and signals our commitment to celebrate and promote diversity. We particularly encourage applications from BAME and LGBTQ communities who are currently under-represented within the horticultural and outdoor industry.

We look forward to growing with you!
