Job description

A person with the appropriate skills and experience is required to:

  • Visit new garden sites.
  • Test and report on the soil.
  • Advise on the location of the planters, trees, hanging gardens and wall trellises.
  • Recommend, given the site and soil condition, the most appropriate flowers, vegetables and trees to be planted.
  • Provide advice and training to the volunteer community garden committee.
  • Provide advice and training courses for the volunteer gardeners.
  • On 6 days to support volunteers enhancing front gardens on the Barkantine estate.
